Ram Janki Durga Shiv Mandir, Merahi, Siwan, Bihar.

I thought, this temple is identity of our village. This is a temple, we worship it anyway, but it is in front of our village, so for location strength it is our identity. What do you say, it becomes our landmark.

In this temple, there are idols of Shri Ram Ji, Maa Jaki, Hanuman Ji, Radhe Krishna as well as Shiv Ji. Fairs are held here during Mahashivratri and Durga Puja.

There is Chhath Ghat here and it is celebrated with great pomp and show. A big fair is organised during Durga Puja. People from almost all the villages of the Panchayat come here to see the fair.

मैं सोच रहा हूँ कि यह मंदिर हमारे गाँव की पहचान है। यह एक मंदिर है, हम इसकी पूजा तो करते ही हैं, लेकिन यह हमारे गाँव के सामने है, इसलिए स्थान की मजबूती के लिए यह हमारी पहचान है। आप क्या कहते हैं, यह हमारा मील का पत्थर बन जाता है। इस मंदिर में श्री राम जी, माँ जाकी, हनुमान जी, राधे कृष्ण के साथ-साथ शिव जी की भी मूर्तियाँ हैं। महाशिवरात्रि और दुर्गा पूजा के दौरान यहाँ मेला लगता है। यहाँ छठ घाट है और इसे बहुत धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। दुर्गा पूजा के दौरान एक बड़ा मेला लगता है। पंचायत के लगभग सभी गाँवों से लोग यहाँ मेला देखने आते हैं।
